dr. Suko Adiarto, Sp.JP (K) is a cardiologist who completed his medical education at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia in 1997. After that, he focused on the specialization of heart and blood vessels in the Department of Cardiology and Vascular Medicine at the same university. He also received his PhD from the Division of Cardiovascular and Respiratory Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Kobe University Graduate School of Medicine, Japan.
In addition, to further improve his competence, Dr. Suko Adiarto attended interventional cardiology fellowship at Harapan Kita National Heart Center and peripheral and aortic vascular intervention course at Busan National University Hospital, South Korea. He then became a vascular medicine consultant.
Various overseas courses that he attended further added to Dr Suko Adiarto’s competence in vascular subspecialization. Among others, a short course in peripheral arterial disease in Singapore, an advanced aortic disease course in Thailand, and a short course in aortic intervention in Thailand and China.
Currently, Dr. Suko Adiarto is a medical staff at the Department of Cardiology and Vascular Medicine FK University of Indonesia-National Heart Center Harapan Kita.
Dr. Suko Adiarto is active in a number of professional organizations, including the Indonesian Medical Association (IDI), the Indonesian Society of Cardiovascular Specialists (PERKI), the Indonesian Society of Cardiovascular Intervention (PIKI), and the International College of Angiology (ICA).
Having a special interest in the vascular field, Dr. Suko Adiarto has also published a number of scientific publications in various journals, including the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology journal, the International Journal of Angiology, and the Life Sciences journal. One of these publications featured an innovation in aortic intervention and resulted in a patent for Dr. Suko Adiarto. Dr. Suko Adiarto has performed more than 600 vascular interventions and more than 1,200 cardiology interventions.
