Before becoming a doctor, Dr. Dafsah Arifa Juzar, SpJP(K) received a bachelor of science degree in biology at St. Lawrence University, Canton, New York, USA in 1991. After that, she took a medical education at FK UNIKA Atma Jaya, Jakarta in 2000 and continued her education as a Specialist in Heart and Blood Vessels at the Department of Cardiology and Vascular Medicine FK University of Indonesia in 2007.
Dr. Dafsah Arifa Juzar, SpJP(K) has attended a number of workshops, fellowships and courses both at home and abroad. Among others, basic continuous renal replacement therapy in San Diego, USA, introduction to interventional cardiology course in Singapore, advanced mechanical ventilation course in Jakarta, advanced complex coronary training, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and renal denervation at Royal Perth Hospital Australia, and interventional cardiology fellowship. dr. Dafsah Arifa Juzar, SpJP(K) has performed more than 3,500 interventional cardiology procedures and annually performs more than 200 cases of complex interventional actions.
In addition to practicing at the hospital, Dr. Dafsah Juzar, SpJP(K) also teaches at the Department of Cardiology and Vascular Medicine FK University of Indonesia after having previously been a teaching assistant at her alma mater at the Department of Internal Medicine FK UNIKA Atma Jaya, Jakarta. He is also an instructor of acute coronary syndrome and acute heart failure for general practitioners.
Dr. Dafsah Juzar is active in various professional organizations, including: Indonesian Society of Hypertension Physicians (PERHI), Indonesian Society of Interventional Cardiology (PIKI), besides that dr. Dafsah Juzar has also served as Secretary General of the Indonesian Society of Cardiovascular Specialists (PERKI) for the period 2019-2022.
In the midst of his busy practice and teaching, Dr. Dafsah Juzar, SpJP (K) is involved in a number of studies, some of which are still ongoing, namely the registration of acute heart failure at Harapan Kita National Heart Center (as principal investigator) and the multicenter Dual Antiplatelets Therapy (DAPT) study at Royal Perth Hospital, Australia.
