Dr. Henry Oscar

Dr. Henry is a radiologist specialising in breast imaging and breast cancer intervention. He performs diagnostic procedures, including breast ultrasound, biopsies, and wire/seed localisation.

As an experienced interventionist, he interprets all breast imaging studies including 2D/3D mammography and tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI. He also routinely performs stereotactic and ultrasound-guided breast biopsy.

Never settling, Dr. Henry is passionate about the continual improvement of breast imaging from tomosynthesis, MRI, and using new ultrasonographic techniques for early and improved accurate detection of breast cancer.

Before co-founding Luma, Dr. Henry was a Consultant Radiologist with Parkway Health Radiology (Gleneagles) and Raffles Hospital. He has devoted a large part of his medical career to women’s imaging, and he spearheaded the practice of Vacuum-assisted Breast Biopsy at Gleneagles Hospital.

Prior to joining private practice, Dr. Henry was trained in NUH, NCC, KKH where he was active in multi-disciplinary breast cancer treatment. He was also part of BreastScreen Singapore (BSS) which is Singapore’s national breast cancer screening programme under the Health Promotion Board (HPB).
